Hey there, my name is Evan Miller. I’m a Full Stack Engineer with over eight years of experience developing applications built on modern Javascript frameworks. I live and work in Anderson, South Carolina and am a father to my beautiful daughter Oaklyn. If I had to describe myself in one word, it would probably be "different". I'm a nerd who loves to learn and also sort of a "jock".

I value a healthy work/life balance. I don’t enjoy being micromanaged, I like being treated as an adult where I’m trusted to get the job done. I’m a hard worker and enjoy what I get to do everyday.

When I graduated from Clemson, in my first interview for a lab technician position I was asked, "what is your dream job". My mind went blank and all I could think of was a programmer. That's what I said and went on about how I began learning to code on my own a year or so before graduating. After that I started looking for the quickest way to become a software engineer and enrolled in a front-end engineering program at The Iron Yard. A month after graduating I was hired, and my career as a developer began!
